In the city

The town of Manacor is at about 7 km from Sa Franquesa Nova and offers nice shops, restaurants, cafés and cultural programmes. The beautiful and diverse capital of the island, Palma de Mallorca, is at about 35 km from the hotel and waits with a huge number of leisure possibilities: explore the history of the island in Palma’s charming old town, shop in exclusive boutiques, visit famous sights such as the cathedral of Majorca or the famous Museo Es Baluard.

In the surroundings

The mountains of Serra de Tramuntana are nearby and fascinate with their fantastic nature and picturesque coastal villages full of charm: Valldemossa, Deià, Fornalutx, Sóller. Weekly markets with authentic flair take place in Sineu and Santanyí. The impressive caves Cuevas del Drach in Porto Cristo and the Castillo in Artà are idyllic destinations for an excursion in the surroundings of Sa Franquesa Nova. And the amazing Majorcan cuisine is ubiquitous wherever you go: enjoying an authentic paella or fresh fish on one of the beautiful terraces of Porto Colom is a true highlight of every trip to Majorca.

The bays Calas de Mallorca are widely known for their beauty and can be reached after a 20 minute drive from Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova. Especially attractive are the bays of Cala Varques and Cala Anguila. The famous beach of Es Trenc and the bay Cala Mondragó are a 35 minutes’ drive away and are loved for their paradise-like beaches.

Explore the beauty of Majorca’s appealing east coast aboard a catamaran, experience the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean at first hand, discover secret bays and beaches. Or sail to the famous Calas virgenes, the virgin bays, with a two-master. Numerous excursions to the impressive marine reserve Sa Cabrera start nearby.

The hotel has a sustainable pitch and putt area with artificial grass. You can collect the ball baskets and clubs at the reception and enjoy this experience with wonderful views of the plain. Free of charge.
